Pressure Treated Plywood Roofing, and 25-Year Shingles
with Felt. Important note: The width of either the lean-to
or porch is decided by the length of the rafter. Hence, an
8' lean-to, due to the angle of the roof, yields a usable
width of about 7'; a 10' yields about 9', etc. Moreover,
since the lean-to or porch extends from the fascia board
which is about 8' off the ground, the height of the
lean-to or porch at the post end is less than 8' due to
the angle of the roof. |

Insulated

and Insect Barrier |
 |
3/4"
Sheet of Styrofoam and Sheet Plastic Insect Barrier. |
|
Styrofoam
is one of the best insulating materials available. Example:
A thin Styrofoam cup will insulate against a scalding cup
of coffee. Moreover, moisture will not deteriorate
Styrofoam. When insulating, and assuming that the interior
of the building will also be insulated and finished, the
pressure treated floor should be changed to 3/4"
(actual 23/32") tongue and groove flooring. On the other hand, if you
select a Bradley Specialty door and will only heat or cool
the building at selected times, you may wish to retain the
pressure treated flooring. |

SOLAR
GUARD Radiant Insulation. |
|

SOLAR
GUARD Radiant Insulation
Keep Your Building Cool with SOLAR GUARD.
Solar Guard
is a high-quality, highly resilient fiber glass blanket
insulation which offers excellent radiant insulating value along
with noise reduction, an attractive appearance, and vapor
retardation.

Johns Manville's unique space-saving compression
process allows a thermal blanket only 1/4" thick. The space age
product is faced with two choices of vapor retarders: (1) aluminum facing on
both sides, which is highly reflective and gives a bright metal surface; and (2)
an aluminum facing on the back and a white facing on the front (shown above); the latter cuts
down on the reflective aspect and is more conducive to a workplace environment.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Attractive appearance
- Vapor Retardation
- Noise reduction
- Odor free
- Does not promote or
accelerate corrosion
- Does not breed or
promote bacteria, fungi or vermin

Building
Permit |
 |
The
Customer is Responsible for Pulling a Building Permit if
Applicable, and
Abiding by any Subdivision Covenants. |
|
Some counties, as Cobb, do not require a building permit
if the structure costs less than $3000.00. Nevertheless,
there are setback requirements; hence, you should not
build too close to a neighbor's property. For information,
call your county's information number; they will direct
you to building and zoning. |
